Santacon Needs You
Open Call for Volunteers
Ho Ho ho,
You’ve been coming to the event for years, decades maybe. Or maybe last year was your first year. You’ve got ideas, places you think Santa should visit. Things Santa should do. You’ve volunteered in the past, and maybe Santa was too overwhelmed to get back in touch or the timing didn’t work out.
This year, everything is up for possibilities.

There are a few ways to volunteer
Route scouting & planning: Where is LA saying Santa should go?
Herding Santas: Day of the event we can always use help keeping Santa together.
Stop Support: Each stop has several people in charge to keep it smooth/coordinate with bars/deal with any issues/etc.
Reindeer Games & Cacophony (like snow, carol books & clowns)
General planning (like what day and whether it is a metro year)

Volunteer Requirements
As a volunteer, you promise to keep all information related to Santacon and the route secret. One of the key pieces of Santacon is the delight and surprise of not knowing where we are going until we are there!
Santacon is the 2nd most successful Cacophony Society event. Santacon can be what you want it to be: a flash mob, a costume show, culture jamming, pub crawl (and no drinking required). It is a collaborative performance art for joyful pranking, with roots in serious culture jamming.
